Supported Bridge Pose
The supported Bridge Pose is a restorative posture that works wonders in releasing tension from the lower back and inducing a state of relaxation. To practice this pose, start by lying on your back with your knees bent and feet comfortably grounded on the floor. Next, position a folded blanket or bolster under your sacrum to provide support. With a slow and mindful movement, gently lift your hips off the floor and slide the support underneath your lower back. Allow your arms to rest naturally by your sides, palms facing upward. Close your eyes and take deep, soothing breaths, allowing your body to surrender and soften into the pose. Maintain this rejuvenating posture for a duration of three to five minutes, fully embracing the sense of calm and tranquility it offers. When you’re ready, gently lower your hips back down to the floor, gradually releasing the pose.
